In the original Long House structure, this room would have been a stable and cowshed, with cobbled floors and wooden stalls and doors. These days, it’s a lot more comfortable.
The Stable is a very spacious ground floor room with an en-suite bathroom. It has open views to the east, over the stream and the moor, and windows to the west to catch the evening sun. The mini patio room faces east, with uninterrupted views of the garden and moor; lovely for sitting in the early morning sun, admiring the view, listening to the birds and watching the stream burble along over the waterfall.
This bedroom can be a twin or a double room. The twin mattresses can be zipped together so you don’t fall between the beds when it is made up as a double. Additionally, there is an adjoining single room with a lockable door between, so this can form a comfortable three person room. The room also has its own external entrance to the garden.
