The Hayloft is a romantic first floor en-suite double room. It has a very impressive and deliciously comfortable half tester king sized bed which is carved in mahogany in a colonial style displaying birds and fruits. It was designed to have a mosquito net hanging from the canopy. It has a 1500 pocket spring mattress for a very comfortable night’s rest. Additionally there is beautifully restored antique “Dutch lady” furniture and three roof windows, which allow you to watch the stars at night if you wish. There are blackout blinds on the windows to give you complete darkness at any time of day or night. For a romantic weekend away you need look no further. As the name suggests, the hayloft was for storing hay and straw for the animals, who lived in the cowshed and stable below. Farm labourers and servants also once lived in this part of the ancient stone building. Originally the first floor in this part of the building was reached by a wooden staircase from a stable below this room, where the dining room http://www.beilihelygguesthouse.co.uk/room-list/the-lounge-and-dining-room/ is now. Each of our rooms boast free-sat TV/DVD, hairdryer, kettle and a well stocked refreshment tray.
